Marking the third time seminal war epic Apocalypse Now has arrived in cinemas, a new "Final Cut" version offers writer/producer/director Francis Ford Coppola the chance to showcase his masterpiece as he always wanted to. In 1955, the 27th Academy Awards ceremonies were held at the RKO Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles and the NBC Century Theatre in New York City. Honouring the films released between January 1, 1954 and December 31, 1954 the awards were held on March 30.
